Volunteers

Volunteering, a great way to support others, to learn new skills, make new friends and give back to communities. It is this and more.

Did you know it could also help you begin a career with us? Whatever your reason we are always delighted to hear from people.

Our volunteers include people with lived experience, who may have come through our services or who may have found another route to abstinence and others who are keen to make a difference and are passionate doing so. Sometimes people looking for a career change or are looking to gain experience, qualifications and skills may volunteer with us.

Whatever your reason we are delighted when people approach us to volunteer.

We have two volunteer roles, Mentors and Community Connectors, each with their own accredited training programme and open to all.

We’ll talk you through what’s involved with each one, and you can choose which best suits you. In fact, you can begin with one and then decide to try the other.

For some, this is may be the first time they have achieved an accredited qualification and for others it may be the first qualification related to the field. Whichever, the training is jam packed with accredited qualifications providing you with the skills and confidence to deliver a valuable role in what we do. All supported by our professional experienced trainers.
Some people are looking for more.

Whether that’s someone with lived experience looking for a way into working in the field or others seeking a career change, completing the training provides the essential qualifications and experience for our Trainee Recovery Worker role.
